We are looking to hire a Billing & Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our Vancouver Office, for a 7 month leave of absence contract.
 
Reporting to the Controller, the Billing & A/R Clerk will provide project billing and financial support to the BC and ON offices. The Finance team members pride themselves on providing top quality customer service to their internal and external clients.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Opening/Closing, maintaining and accounting for projects;
  • Monitoring and updating of project budgets;
  • Maintain project file;
  • Providing accounting support to the Project Managers and staff;
  • Generating detailed billing reports for review and authorization;
  • Completing project invoices;
  • Maintaining all aspects of accounts receivable/work-in-progress and following up with project managers and clients as required;
  • Conducting project labour and expense analyses;
  • Verifying and posting client payment by cheque and credit card, resolving discrepancies;
  • Administrating credit and collection procedures;
  • Working with the Controller to maintain sound financial and accounting practices. 
     

Job Requirements:

  • Supportive of PGL Strategic Initiatives and live the PGL core values;
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting;
  • 2 years of experience in all facets of project billing with a professional services firm;
  • Excellent attention to details is essential;
  • Experience using a time and materials billings software. Knowledge of Deltek Vision is an asset;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to multi-task;
  • Self-motivated, fast learner, strong team player;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Excellent customer service orientation.
